From time to time, the Baker County Sheriff's Office has the need to pass along thanks or notices to the public that is not necessarily an official press release. This new page will allow BCSO to do just that. Please check back frequently as we will be updating this portion of our webpage regularly.
At the 2015 Oregon State Sheriffs' Association, Retired Sheriff Mitch Southwick was given a Life Member Award. Not only was Sherff Southwick a leader in Baker County, but was leader within OSSA. Sheriff Southwick served as President of OSSA during his tenure as the Baker County Sheriff. We would like to thank Sheriff Southwick for his service to the citizens of Baker County and for sharing his experince with the Baker County Sheriff's Office. Congratulations on a well deserved award!

On November 2, 2015, BCSO is happy to welcome Parole and Probation Clerk Ashley McClay to the P&P Division. Ms. McClay comes to BCSO from the Grant County District Attorney's Office where she supervised the Victims Services office. Please welcome Ashley to the team!
